Al-Salam ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
The Shimmering Light is a small, non-profit Islamic organization founded in 2009, by a group of Muslim students with the intention of assisting the English speaking audience to experience the treasures of the Islamic scholastic legacy passed on by our great ‘Ulama’ and present day teachers. We are committed to continue the contribution of our predecessors of the past and to uphold the responsibilities that our teachers of today have taught and shown us.
The organization aims to serve as a facilitator between the inheritors of Prophetic knowledge and light and the people of this day and age. At the same time, we hope that the transmission of this sacred knowledge and light continues in our times and beyond, as the current state of the world makes it clear that we are in dire need of right guidance, mercy, and a firm connection to this chain which traces up and links us to the Best of creation, our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
